SHOP FOR A CAUSE

We recently made a promise to a few kids in Siargao, and we’re hoping you can help us keep it.

Grom Nation Siargao is an organization that incentivizes young children to stay in school by providing them with weekend surf and skate lessons, as well as life skill programs, in exchange for good school attendance. Float has pledged to provide 300 rash guards for students in the Grom Nation program, which means that 1% of every Float purchase will be dedicated to this project until we meet our goal.

Also, as much as we like to keep it low-key when we do some good, we also know that a lot of our Float babes are in search of ways to give back. Our partnership with Grom Nation extends beyond the rash guard pledge, starting with a skate clinic conducted by our own boss babe An Estrada. We have much more in store, and if you’re curious about being more actively involved, please hit us up via DM or over at floatswimwear@gmail.com.

We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for allowing us to be as generous to others as you have been with us. ♡

SUSTAINABILITY

One of our goals as a company is to cater to both the people who wear what we make, as well as to the environment around us. It's been tough to navigate the best way to move towards legitimately sustainable solutions without increasing our prices, but this year, we've finally put together a small manufacturing team to closely monitor both product quality and safe working conditions, and ensure fair wages. As of 2020, the Sustainable Swim collection we released was made with nylon recycled from fish nets, scraps of fabric, and carpet fluff. Moving into this new decade, we're excited to push forward with entirely sustainable swim and resort wear that's both for the sea and from it.

We are always working on a more sustainable future by taking the right steps toward a healthier environment. We hand pack your Float swimmies in biodegradable ziplock bags that are reusable but will also be digested away by natural miscroorganisms after disposal to a landfill. ♡
